Snorkeling Spots

FOUR WATERS,
ONE UNFORGETTABLE COAST

From a sunken wartime freighter to a garden of living coral, every spot in Amed sits just a short swim from shore. Here is where we take you.

The Amed coastline

Reefs made for snorkeling

Amed's calm, north-facing bays stay sheltered from the swell, so the water is clear and the entries are gentle. All four of our signature spots are reachable straight from the beach or a five-minute jukung ride.

Japanese Shipwreck

A WWII-era freighter resting in shallow water, now blanketed in soft coral and patrolled by schools of glassfish. Its shallowest sections sit just below the surface, so you snorkel straight over living history.

Coral Garden

A sprawling reef restoration site where planted coral frames have bloomed into a maze of color. Expect clownfish, angelfish and the occasional reef shark drifting past in water so clear it feels weightless.

Turtle Point

A gentle seagrass slope where green sea turtles come to graze. Float quietly and they will glide right beneath you. This is the spot guests remember most, so we keep groups small to protect the animals.

Underwater Temple

A set of Balinese statues and gateways placed on the seabed, now softened by coral growth. Part art installation, part artificial reef, it is one of the most photographed snorkel scenes on the whole coast.
